The Peacock

Do you know, even though a peacock appears to be brightly colored, it is not as bright as it looks. In fact, peacocks are brown in color Their color often changes due to the reflection of light hitting the feathers from different angles. This is exactly what I have tried to capture in this painting. Notice how bright the area of the feathers appears to be with the light falling on it. I have used a sketch pencil here to outline and hard and soft pastel brushes to fill in the colors.
